Local Sparrows

While nothing spectacular, while working from home, I enjoyed seeing a flock of 15 Dark-Eyed Juncos and 3 Chipping Sparrows scatter over the lawn below my window. First time that I've seen Chipping Sparrows in my neighborhood.

  1. Funny that I also had exactly 15 juncos under our feeder yesterday. I had already seen an occasional 1 or 2, but I herald the fact that they are now here in flocks as a true sign of colder weather that is here to stay.

However, no chipping sparrows. . .

  2. I have just started to get regular Juncos and WT Sparrows are starting to become numerous (hopefully I can have as big a group this year as I did last year!
